Hello i youst finishd a pulstransformer (the same one in stun guns) With 30 turns of prim. and with 2000t turns of sec. I made 10 layers, betwen every layer of windings is 1-2 layers of baking paper. Now to my question: Is wax or oil better for isolation.or ar ther any other mothodes?

For something portable where a container for the oil would be impractical, obviousley wax would be better... But oil provides better cooling, and better corona resistance and insulation. So it really depends on the application and voltages.
Pupman archives has info on wax, is the individual post.
Go to and use the search to look up more stuff.
A 2 part epoxy or a polyurethane would work well, but could be more difficult to work with and use, especially the epoxy, since to do it right you would need vacuum potting equipment.

it will produce abaut 40kv-50kv at 5-10hz so is oil better?or wil wax do it at that voltage.
