I got these strange components from a box of random junk from the electronic goldmine. They are tan, they have three pins, and they have 1.4.5h on the front. The logo on it is something like a circle around a B.

Definitely a ceramic resonator, they can be used in place of crystals: where frequency stability isn't super important (ie: not in clocks, frequency counters, signal generators, etc.)

I don't think they are much more unstable than normal metal crystals.
