So during an IRC discussion Chris Russell brought up the wiki and how the new site will use it more effectively. My question is whether or not pages should lie more towards the relm of general theory/concept, or tutorial. Also, should we fork some pages that seem too general and enhance 'portal' pages?
Eg: the SSTC page encompasses a little bit of theory about SSTC, DRSSTC, operating parameters, etc, however it seems more like a stub that should fit into the overall TC portal. Should the SSTC page cover more specifically about SSTC's, and condense the 'overall' stuff into the introduction at the beginning?
I would post this in the discussion for the SSTC but something tells me no one would even notice the discussion page...

Ideally, we want to keep it factual, and useful. General wiki pages aren't how-to guides -- we have a how-to section for pages like that -- but they'll all be tutorial to some degree. For example, the SSTC page should contain information on how SSTCs operate, construction methods employed, design principles, things of that nature, but without explicitly delving into the nuts and bolts of assembly. Soldering wire A to capacitor B, stuff like that belongs in a how-to guide.

Just my small note to DRSSTC page that I just readed at: Intro states: Up until about 2005, the Dual Resonant (or Double Resonant) SSTC was a rarity. However, thanks to the hard work of Steve Ward, Steve Conner, Terry Fritz, Dan McCauley and others, many coilers are now building DRSSTCs. I was also experimenting with DRSSTC, independently in 2/2 of year 2003. I didn't use interrupter, just halfwave rectification. I don't remember but probably I was not 4HV member yet. So it was not so rare :) My site is here:
