Hey all, my family does not like things that make loud bangs, anyone got ideas for some electronic fireworks that are not very loud but produce spectacular visual display? I'm not aware of anything, but open to any ideas.
Because I would like to make this thread more universal, if you have ideas about fireworks which make loud bangs, post them here too

Make your own new year's ball using tons of clear light bulbs and a SSTC. If you're really creative, get bulbs filled with different gasses... somehow. Perhaps you can have your whole family/group of friends help out and draw things on the bulbs with marker.
