Hi!
Tomorrow i will test my 8" coil again and i have few questions. It has repaired secondary (damage -> ) I dont know exactly what happened but i think that had something to do with too high coupling and being slightly out of tune. (AND small bit of user error )
I got it repaired pretty well but i think it wont be as good as new coil so this time i want to make sure it wont be too stressed.
Things that came in my mind:
- Carefull tuning with o-scope and signal generator - Good RF ground (i have dug several copper rods in ground around my test site) - Starting with very mild coupling
If sec. diameter is 200mm what would be safe inner diameter for primary?

Hmm, I think 230-240mm or so it will be fine, I was have a similar problem at one of my coils, some turns suddenly gets red and vaporized when running the coil. But I dont know why it gets like that =/
