I would like to make a plamsa speaker with my 811a, but the question for me is feedback. Using this circuit: or something similar, how would i go about providing feedback for such a big tube? I would like it to be simple, and use stuff that i have around here(DUH!). Maybe it would run just using that schematic, but it seems that it would be far too little current to even try to switch the big tube(811a in my case). So, what should i use?

Thanks, good website! But unfortunately it does not answer anything about using triodes at all. I can not see any reason that it would not work, but the tube requires too much grid current/voltage i am sure. All the feedback has to do is bring the voltage of the grid up from ground, or just a little positive. But a small 3/4 or so feedback 'winding' doesn't seem like it could do the job. I don't have any pentodes or tetrodes, so i cannot (easily) use audio modulation. I just want to try something different and i like the small but hot flame. Most plasma speakers only use 600 volts for the plate supply, so 2kv should be cool, but it will probably heat up, maybe, possibly.
