Is it possible to use a ZVS driver on a SSTC I hear it is but I cant seem to figure it out.

Well, use a 6 turn center tapped primary and have at it ^.^. Just use a different tank cap. I dont know what to use though, but something like .1uf to maybe .5uf might do it. Experiment.

Yes it is very possible, wind 3+3 turn primary on your secondary and hook it up on your driver.

The tank cap need to be approximately 0.1 uf depending on your secondary dimentions, and also the capacitor need to be of high quality, you may even need to make a mmc as it get very hot.

I have actualy done this before

This run was on 12 volts so much better results should be expected on higher voltages.

The ZVS was originally a SSTC driver invented by a guy called Mazzilli. He was using 1200V IGBTs and geting about a foot of sparks. It was adapted to flybacks later by the good people of this forum.

The Skori coil is a more recent SSTC with a ZVS-style circuit.
