I cant seem to get the secondary out and when I do what is the best way to limit the current that it will draw from 120v mains my MOT is a beast but the wiring is crappy in my house.

My MOT/ZVS I had to use heat it was a pain in my ass but I think it works OK. Any one have any suggestions on smoothing and rectifying? Be much appreciated.
