Follow IamSmooth's advice and list everything that potentinally can be a hazard and write down why it does not apply in this case. Sign it with date, name and place and deliver it to your teacher.
If you do a reasonable job you should have no problem convincing your teacher that you are a sensible person that will not drag a bucket of thermite into the classroom.
