I found a place that you can buy some nice project enclosures, and the main one that i like has battery compartments and would be great for a hand held interrupter.
They have many different types though, so be sure to look through them to see if you can find one that you like. Also, you could sample one.. But do not sample many of them and be greedy.

those are cool i did not want to be greedy so i only looked at a couple ha ha when u can do your 555 timer idea if u want to those would probably work good.The s/sl series looked good they have 9v battery compartment.
