I have couple working fly backs that were PC monitors at one time on my youtube ch but I also have some that are taken off the circuit board and I need to know how I can figure out the pins? I tried but didn't have much luck, I don't want to burn them out.

The way I do it is I drive them at low power and bring the HV lead near the base and see which pin it arcs to the best. The one it arcs to would be the ground.
