I am thinking about trying to build a dual secondary NST driven Tesla Coil. If I build two identical secondaries/top loads, and build two primaries with half the inductance, can I drive it as if it were a single primary/secondary. Of course, the primaries would have to be driven out of phase.
It seems to me that the same power would give 1.414 times the arc distance between the two secondaries. Besides it would be really cool to see the 4-5 ft arcs between the two secondaries.
Please give me you insights on this.

Indeed. It has been done many times before with nice results. For example and i am sure you are not going to build something this big but take a look at "Project Gemini" that the Geek Group did but you get the point. Something smaller that another member of the forum built is this I hope this gives you some inspiration. Good luck.
