Recently, i have been having some back pains. It really hurts, more so than a broken thumb when i move it wrong. It hurts on and off and it is on the right side of my back in the middle and top of my back. It does not hurt too bad when i sit properly, but i could not even put deodorant on.. I also had a hard time putting clothes on.

I don't really remember but i think the first time this happened was three days ago. Ever since, it has started to hurt at least once a day and i don't even have to do anything, it just chooses when to trouble me mad .

The first time it happened i just went to lay on the couch and apparently i messed something up...

So, any ideas? I would not expect a pulled muscle or crick to last so long and only hurt once or a few times a day.

Sounds a bit like a pinched nerve, but if it continues, do get it checked out.

Had something like this in my shoulder a few months back- it fixed itself after about a week. No idea why, could just be muscular.

I have back problems too. Link2

Sometimes its ok and sometims it hurts like hell and i need strong pain killers :( It has been like this for about 2 years or so.. And due to its location, it cannot be operated. Doctor said that all i can do is wait, it might heal or not in few years.

And guess what caused this: Lifting too heavy things. I work as cnc machinist and i had workpiece which weighted over 100kg and i tried to lift it by my self...

I can live with this but sometimes it makes my life hard.

I had something a bit like this several months ago. I was using a rowing machine at 215lbs and the cable slipped off its pulley, the entire weight stack crashed and tweaked my left lat (latissimus dorsi muscle). My back felt pretty bad for a few days (and it was on and off), but everything returned to normal within a week.

Well, perhaps i am getting dehydrated? I haven't been drinking much water, it has been mostly tea, but idk if the sugar would really make it any different :P. But something like this happened a few months ago, like 2 or 3 or maybe 1 months :P. I was really agitated and i figured i would release some of my anger on a peice of wood(it was right after the hurricane so you must understand why i was angered). I picked up a screw driver and hit a piece of wood with it, not even really that hard, and for three days i had a pain in my neck. I have never in my life felt pain that bad, the time i cracked my head open does not even compare. I could not do anything for three days and it hurt for like 10 days afterward. Also, sometimes i will get this weird feeling in my leg when i am walking or even lifting my leg while sitting. It feels like something is about to like break or something, so i just stay off of it for a few minutes and it quits bugging me. Also, one day i was working on electronics and junk and i was sitting like i always am. I was in the same positions(legs where crossed to give me more room to work with) and i would alternate which leg was on the bottom so they would not fall asleep. When i got up i started walking and about 5 steps into walking, this sharp pain shot throughout my leg. I had to make myself fall to the ground (don't worry, it didn't hurt:P) and crawl to the living room and sat on the couch. I had to put my leg in a certain position to keep it from hurting, but the position would 'change' so i would have to move my leg again until it stopped hurting.

So i am rather puzzled you guys. This kinda stuff never happened to me before. The first three times this kind of thing happened(with the neck and leg both times) i was drinking plenty of water, so i can pretty much rule that out.

Thanks for any help!

As a bit of an offtopic - was moving come heavy stuff in the lab and made a somehow wrong step while placing it on a shelf and something cracked in my toe. The fun part - did it more then a week ago, and that thingie still hurts!

Weren't you the guy who found a 600 pound pole pig in the street and dragged it home on a trolley? That might have something to do with it. Visit to the doctor might be in order.
