Hi all,
Just thought you'd like to know, the "car" display on the Esquire magazine can indeed be carefully hacked into a basic 4-way rotary screen.
Main issue is you need to carefully cut it just before the first wire link on the left hand circle panel in order to fully use the segments, then find a cut corner away from this section and poke a small wire into the cut edge between the two inner sheets (the black and clear ones) to connect properly.
Seems to work so far, the rest is simple silver paint/scraping of contacts.
