No problems, here is 61kHz :
3020767577 E3b3372f18

The rise / fall profiles are basically the same from 0 to +/-10v , I no doubt could square it up even more with a bigger coupling cap on the primary side of the GDT as I currently only have 5uF (two back to back 10uF 250v electros).
But I am waiting for some bargain priced 10uF 50v ceramic SMD caps to come along :), and the rise/fall times are ok in the critical regions, and at the end of the day, it works fine as is cheesey .

== update ==
Also:
I see what you mean about your Vge waveform being rubbish now, before I only saw the nice sharp square wave :) , now I see the single polarity.
That is naturally another benefit of driving with a GDT, full + and - swing on the gates cheesey .

== update ==
Mmm , nope, changed my mind , confused now, your last posted waveform looks fine, low duty cycle, but fine.
Why do you think your waveform is bad ?

it look, that my wave form is very fast (ton and toff), but i don't use any R in series gate ...
for duty cycle, i don't have potentiometer to set 555 50:50 wave... mad

take a look at CTconcepts website. They sell driver's geared to specific IGBT's, and there topology is good. They have some documentation. There boards have a built in half bridge drive, so a 555 input will run half bridge.
I got driver boards for The same IGBT as yours, but the 300A version (FF300R12ME3).

here what i found, i can use 30V supply, and for IGBT will give +18 and -8V

what do you think? neutral
