Hello
This is my first 'real' project so to speak, and i didnt really want anything else than some easy, fast, electricial discharges in a slightly oversized light bulb, hence i didnt do any calculations on the number of windings, tank capacitor and so forth, i basicly just build it. So in short, its not a very effecient, but it works.
It is basicly a SGTC with a light bulb instead of the usual top load.
Specs:
200turns on secondary (roughly, didnt really count) 16turns primary 15-20kV suplied from a flyback transformer 3.3nF tank capacitor (mmc) topload is a light bulb
The spark gap is just two steel nuts on bolts, not very effecient at all, but it works, and im happy about the results.
The flyback and its driver circuit is in the metal PSU box, the green box above contains the spark gab and tank capacitor. Rest is pretty obivous i supose, coils and light bubl.
I'll be trying to shoot a video of it but my camera is not very good, all ive got at the moment is this picture:
edit: heres the video i promised yesterday, its very low quality video but i guess its better then nothing..

I just took both of the wires from the lamp socket and soldered them to one of wires from the Secondary, and put the other wire from Secondary into the earth outside my house.
