Is this a good transformer for a T/C ?

It's only 9 KV, but it outputs 120 MA. More VA than a 15 / 60 transformer. What do you think?

Yes it will work. People make quite large spark gap coils with quad MOT packs and they are around 8kV

Agree with Kizmo.. even 4Kv can make a working TC..
9Kv 1150W will make a decent sized SPKG coil!

Its a fine transformer for a SGTC, I got a SGTC planned with a 9kV / 60mA transformer.

I have two 9kv 60ma NST's in parallel that I use on one of my 4" coils. It works great for indoor demos with limited space. I haven't measured exactly but I would say it discharges 3 foot + arcs or so.

12kv/120mA -3" coil did around 6ft indoors when it was properly tuned.
this was with a static gap using 2 highly expensive WZr electrodes used for cutting.
