I don't recall having laid my eyes on any plasma this year, so I made this little lashup for thrills.
Gate drive comes from a single IXDD414 at 12VDC, power from an H-bridge of IRFP450s at 120VDC, I sawed this coil off an old secondary to get a Fres of ~ 1MHz. Shame I can't hacksaw straight in the dark. =P
The GDT unplugs to allow access to the screwterminals / MOSFETs underneath.

Ouch. Hehe, it was the cheapest way to bridge one more computer onto the internet.

If you mean UCCX732X, which are drivers intended for single MOSFETs, yes, the IXDD414 performs much better. It has a heatsinkable package so you can afford to dissipate some power, and runs safely at 24V.

Thanks; although the H-bridge looks a bit anti-semitic, it seems quite a good layout I can make with single-sided board; I'll give a revision a try that allows all the MOSFETs to be mounted on the same flat heatsink by inverting the bottom layer of the stack so that the copper is on top (so as not to short to the heatsink, just for fun).
