Sorry but poly is a wide term. are these self healing ? --- update Well, have to tell you that these Sprague 430Ps are NO GOOD as they are Polyester and are not TC durable. Polyester is very poor with high frequency. Polyethylene is fine and Polypropylene is not bad either (but not as durable to heating)

Unfortunately the 430P series rolled film caps use polyester (Mylar) dielectric which is very lossy (heats up) at high frequencies. Also, they use metallized polyester as the plates, he end terminations are also not very robust. These last two factors won't handle high-current pulses like the C-D 942 series can. The 430P caps are designed for low-current application like coupling, bypassing, and low-ripple DC filtering, not for any kind of pulse-dicsharge work.
