Hi,
Im currently working on a SGTC and when its finished i want to start building an SSTC. I want to design my own circuit but i still have some questions and i hope i can find the answers here:
- Are there any design criteria for the dimensions of the secondary coil, like with SGTC. - is the formula from the DRSSTC cap size topic also applicable for a SSTC cap - which way is the best/easiest for auto-tuning cause i've seen many different ways (signal form bottom of secondary, antenna, signal from primary circuit) - when using an interrupter how do you prevent hard-switching

Ive read Richie's website and already got a massive amounts of information of it, great site. But the things im not very sure of ive posted here. Like on his page he explains that you need a capacitor in the primary circuit because the currect is going to lag if you don't have one and you can't softswitch then. But is the capsize determined by the res-freq of the secondary coil or is Fres determined by the cap + coil in the primary circuit.
