I am currently looking for a rsg motor for a new rsg disk i am making. It is just a threaded rod through a wooden disk(i know, not that great because it could splinter etc.) and acorn nuts on either side. I would like the motor to be cheap( of course) asynchronous up to 3000 something rpm(going for 400bps) and it need a fairly long shaft. A small dc scooter motor would be sufficient as long as the shaft is long enough, maybe about 4 inches and i would like it to have a nut on the end for ease of mounting the disk.
I can trade a scooter motor or microwave fan motors and other stuff if anyone has a motor they'd be willing to sell.
Oh yea, and i need to be able to easily control the speed without a variac(until i get one) and no phase control. I would prefer a scooter motor so that i could just make a simple pwm speed controller. I have some nice boxes to fit a pwm controller in so i would prefer this over anything.
