Just thought I'd drop a quick note. Anyone here who's in the SE US should keep in mind the Shelby Hamfest this weekend (its actually in Dallas, NC).
This is one of the largest hamfests in the country, usually second only to Dayton Hamvention in Ohio. It might be a little smaller this year, after they had to move the hamfest from its previous location to a new public park outside Dallas NC.
For those of you who are unfamiliar, hamfests are an electronics/HV/RF paradise. You can find anything from basic components to pole pigs, vacuum tubes, and ham radio gear.
