Well if that does happen that is what i will do. The capacitor bank is only going to have 3.5kvp-p and the capacitors that are closest will be at the same potential so don't really think it is of much concern.

If I was you I would do it before the problem occurs. But it is up to you. All this looks great so far.

the arcing would cause the LC frequency set to go dramatically off, possibly causing the system to attempt to switch at a frequency in the Mhz, destroying your switches.

Ok you have me convinced cheesey i will use the dremel and cut away between the capacitors to prevent a arcover. Anyway i mounted the legs to the top and bottom and this is how it looks.

Another update. The H Bridge is complete and things are coming together nicely. I still need to mount a couple of components but for the most part, it is complete. First light may be as early as this weekend depending on if i get the last order of parts by then. Anyway, here are some pics of everything firmly mounted and almost ready.

I still need to support the bus cap from the bolt in the back and add a snubber cap across the supply rails. Be sure to tell me how it is looking or if there are any glaring mistakes that i made. Thanks.

Thanks. Here is another update, i connected the gates and soldered all the wires onto the controller board. All i have left now is to connect a bridge rectafier and conect the low voltage transformer for the control circuitry. Planning on low power tests over the weekend. Here is a updated pic.

Wow that coil looks great. Did you swap the input leads on the gdt. It's most likely a phasing problem when a DRSSTC doesn't work. Hope to see some sparks coming from the top very soon.
