Might have some relevance, as big solar flares can disrupt power grids.
Its also possible that the "great solar flare" of 1859 as well as the 2006 one could have been triggered by such a collision.
Disclaimer:- axions are theoretical particles that have not yet been observed but may be discovered during future high energy LHC collisions.

Still, it is at least a neat looking site, even if some of the stuff reads like the National Enquirer.
