The aforementioned have contributed financially to the continuing triumph of 4hv.org. They are deserving of my most heartfelt thanks.
Ok, this may sound silly, but could someone give me the general layout of what gets wires to what in an SSTC? Aka, where does a NST fall into place, after the board but before the primary? I've been doing a lot of reading but, its hard to make certain things out sometimes. Im learning lol
Something like power input-->board-->primary--> secondary coil wrapped around primary etc type layout would be great, thanks.

Hi!,
I'm also trying to learn about SSTC to build one for my science fair project this year!
From my understanding, there is no high voltage input! It seems that people usually just use a rectified mains level voltage. This goes into the full(or half)bridge. The bridge requires a a gate driver circuit. This usually consists of a VOC or and antenna witch catches the feedback directly from the secondary RF.
The primary, for SSTC seems to usually be at 90 degrees. and is quite close to the secondary.
A great page on the SSTC setup and as well as good schematics is Here!
If i'm wrong about anything, (or everything! ) someone please correct me!

There is no way how to employ NST in SSTC topology, unless you own high speed solid state switching device which can handle voltage around 10KV (as far as I know, only specialized hard-to-get triodes can be used for such things - than we talk about VTTC). I don't want to be nasty, we were all beginners, but I think you should make more reading first (try HvWiki for SSTC, VTTC, SGTC...)

Yeah, its not *too* simple to build a SSTC than a SGTC, you can really waste much money on mosfets if you build wrong, its better to see all theory of Tesla Coil/ Solid State Tesla Coil, before do that.

I'm not sure if you mean Spark gap coil (SGTC), or solid state coil (SSTC). The mention of a NST suggests to me that you mean the former. Here are some places to start reading. If you meant SSTC, then here is a guide.
