Well, I got my big order today and one of the strangest mistakes I've seen is a bag of plastic connectors substituted for 1.2kohm resistors... anyone else have similar stories? After I got off the phone I wish I got IGBTs or big silicon instead of some crummy plastic connectors.... :D
I put a post up on my blog too to see if anyone gets a laugh out of it...

So they just billed me $0.61 for the resistors that they're going to ship, zero charge for shipping and handling, fair trade given the fact that they have to go through the trouble to get the right parts to me again :S

Maxim once sent me 555 timers in SOIC package instead of DIP8, so a friend that loves to work with smd got them, and I ordered 100 dip8 555s from Thailand at a very low price instead.
I have always had a perfect service from digikey until the recent order. I've ordered some stuff which has no datasheet (I found it, but not on digikey) - the EPCOS' p-cores for transformers, 2 of them. And here is what I found inside the recently received package:
Already contacted them. Will see, if they will be able to "solve the problem" (hate office sale idiots having no idea of what they selling)! From what I see it is clear to me that the packaging guys are a lot smarter then their managers.
Update of next day morning:
Ho-ho, that was fast! Something has shipped already for $0 to me. Should I await another surprise?
Update of another day afternoon:
Very well, digikey! All the missing parts are found in the box came today. No letter with apology or $5 coupon or smg to please me? Ah, I'm OK with that. :)
