I am at the 7th coat of varnish on the secondary for "Big Red" and there are some bubbles forming in the varnish that dont look to good. I was thinking of using some 600 grit sand paper and lightly sand them out but im not sure if that would cut to deep and take the enamel on the magnet wire. What should i do?

I have done that and it works. Just use fine grit and be carefull. I found out that reason for bubbles was that I used way too much varnish / layer. My advise: Apply only very thin layer. Right amount is when you dont need to rotate your secondary while it is drying.
