I have my coil worked out but I have a few questions about my protection circuit. mod edit - image size
My NST draws 120V 700mA. Should I try to get 700mA breakers and fuses? 1A? Does it matter? in most of the circuits I've seen people have just used 10A, but would that offer protection at all? I am confused on this point.
Also, are there any other things I should add to my protection circuit?

Seeing as you have a 84W NST why would you need all the protection anyway. I know better safe than sorry, but with that size transformer I'm not sure you'll even get sparks out of it. Are you sure about this rating?

Yeah, I'll side with Coronafix: This could be just a light switch and a filter (and don't wire the filter in reverse; that practice has been debunked countless times here and on TCML). On the other hand, if your aim is to build a more generic power controller that can be used with other kinds of transformers, then pick a voltage and a current with some headroom and choose the breakers and fuses and filter ratings accordingly.
Also, consider that the purpose of the breakers and fuses, if not to protect the line side of the breakers (which probably already has breakers on it anyway) is to protect the other components in your power controller, i.e., the wiring, relay contacts, and filter. NSTs are designed not to draw more than a certain amount of current, so any overcurrent events there are less something you are trying to protect the NST from than they are an indication that the NST is already toast. And with non-current-limited transformers, you are often pushing them well beyond their ratings, in which case sizing the breakers and fuses according to the transformer ratings probably doesn't make a lot of sense.
