Yeah right. These things'll make it to the US when Hell freezes over or John McCain is elected president, both of which are about as likely to happen anytime soon. Even if ITER is a success, I doubt I'll live to see its like in the US. There are just too many "renewable energy" whack-jobs and coal industry lobbyists in between reality and the voters here. Sigh...

If I put the money that thing costs in my bank and tell them they will be staying there for 40 years, the interests alone will pay for the same amount of power and I will still have $100 000 left over each year to spend on other things.

It is not renewable energy or coal that stands in the way of success, it is idiots and their idiot supporters.
