The aforementioned have contributed financially to the continuing triumph of 4hv.org. They are deserving of my most heartfelt thanks.
i have IR2111, driving IRFS630A, i connected as in datasheet from scheme
but i have no signal on output. I am sure there is input signal, because i tried connected fet directly to IR input (without IR) an it worked. Am i gonna need to drive halfbridge instead of 1 mosfet??? Currently i just connected all as in scheme and HV output connected to ground through 10kohm resistor
I am powering that with 12V
When i add it 5V, it has 12V output, when i connect it to ground, same.

And to add, the bootstrap drivers are no good for driving highly inductive loads, because the bridge output for unknown reasons often spikes many volts under the negative power rail and can overvolage the bootstrap driver. Also the lower output seems to go wild if the bootstrap negative supply is a few volts below the negative power rail. This may be solved by high-current, ultrafast soft recovery diodes across the FETs (the internal diodes might need bypassing by fast Schottky rectifiers). This has been many months of explosive experience for me until I found this out.

edit: isnt the bootstrap the circuit that drive Higher level FET?
yes, and by "bootstrap driver" I was referring to the IR21xx series etc. half-bridge drivers. The decoupling capacitor can be nearly any film or foil cap with enough voltage rating (should be 200V at least if you are using 230V mains) and for start, a value around 2uF.
