Hey guys I’m looking at building my first drsstc, I have built a SGTC and a VTTC before and want to start making some serious sparks with a DRSSTC, I need a little help deciding on the driver and the H bridge schematics to use, I’m looking at making a midsized coil that will through an ark at least 30†I’m also looking into Audi Modulation, but am unsure what driver to use to implement audio modulation, as I have heard that audio modulation via the Interrupter is not the best method, what possibility’s do I have to use.
The next thing I am having trouble deciding on what PCB design to use, can anybody recommend a good preexisting design as I want this to be my learning coil.
I am also unsure of the current sense transformers on the driver, how are these wired to the primary? And what size ferrite core should I base them on?
Also on most of the schematics I have seen not all the parts are listed, If anybody has compiled a parts list could I please obtain a copy?
And for the final Question what is the best IGBT to use
