i used just twisted pair and it worked out fine. but if youd like im sure it cant hurt to use shielding. I just use shielded cable for transferring of my interrupter signal. I got an RCA cable and split open the insulation and connected the shielding in the cable to the mesh shield i have going aronud the base of my coil. Anyways keep up the awesome work!

I built the heat sink. Didn't come out very pretty so i might change it.

However i tested it. I clamped a heater to it and let a 500 W trough it. After 10 minutes the copper piece was cold and aluminum part was warm (without installed fan). With fan this will be a great heat sink, it just does not look pretty, i think neutral

Hello,

i decided to change the heat sink again, because that one was ugly neutral

I searched for hours until i found a shop which has old Sempron heat sinks. Bought two and made it like on photos. I made the primary supports. If all will go successfully i will wind the primary this weekend and wire it up.

So close but cant find MMC caps anywhere...

Yes you did. Forgot to thank you here for sending me IGBT-s.

But you sent me 0.033 uF instead 0.33 uF. I could connect all three in parallel but i don't think they would survive it

So i winded the primary and still have 3 more critical points to do:

Get a MMC caps ( HELP )
Finish the interrupter
Order the spun toroid

And let it run at full power...

But until then i had to try it, just little to feed addiction for sparks. I made a MMC from some small crappy caps, made a interrupter on test board and added a sphere as top load.

Here is what i got with 100 VDC in.:

Link2

Completly untuned, completly unsuitable MMC, completly bad alligator test wiring. Not bad amazed. I played couple of minutes and everything was ice cold and working fine. Except the over temp light goes on as soon i turn on the coil. I will need to investigate what is happening.

Cant wait to finish it and let the full power in, i cant !
