In a series resonant circuit voltage is high and current is low, in a parallel resonant tank circuit current is high. When I started usind my H-bridge I was using the MMC in a parallel configuration thinking more circulating current in the primary would generate more voltage. Not the case. As soon as I went to a series MMC-primary circuit voltage on the primary and secondary went up. I guess that proves the start of this paragraph. In a sstc should the MMC be resonant with the primary and secondary or is the MMC an over glorified cupling capasitor. I am with idia that in series resonant primary and a resonant secondary that are tuned at the exact same frquency have the gratest output. Probly this well known what do you think?

For the conventional SSTC, the series primary capacitor is just a coupling, or DC blocking capacitor and has little effect on the performance of the coil. However, for DRSSTCs or double resonant solid state tesla coils, the primary capacitor does play a very important part in the circuit.
