Dichloromethane (dichloromethylene is a depricated name) is basically paint stripper. I've used it in a chem lab as a student and really, I want to avoid this stuff more than many other acute toxins that would kill me in minutes-hours. DCM goes through almost every glove that I've used, is damned strong, fumes heavier than air, dissolves the fat out of your skin... but on the other hand it makes a good solvent for eluting troublesome columns with....
Having that said, you could probably try going to a model making store and buy some of the clear liquid plastic cement (not the clear goo in a tube, but the water-like liquid in a jar with a brush). That will probably do the job of gluing acrylic together, you could probably ask the store owner if he knows too.

Like i said earlier, I ordered some pvc sheet and i will cut it down to size, slip it into the bottom of the secondary and glue it with standard pvc pipe glue.
