I have a eimac 3cx100a5 tranmitting triode, I wanted to know if i could use it for a small vttc. Any help and advice anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated. I have attached the tube specs as a pdf for reference. ]3cx100.pdf[/file]

I know i should not buy any more ceramic tubes, but that still doesn't answer my question of whether or not i can use this tube in a small coil, i mean i might as well try instead of using it as a paper weight....Any thoughts

Sure you can use it. I wouldn't expect much spark though, it's only rated 100 watts And go easy on the grid current, the grids in these things are precision structures, and if you overheat it, it could all too easily short to the cathode.
BTW, I always thought it was the other way round: ceramic tubes keep their vacuum better than glass ones.
