hey all.
i recently need a 0-1000v powersupply so i built "the powerlabs flyback driver" to drive a custom coil to get pulsed DC a the same voltage as the input. it works really well, i tried making a coil and soldering an LED onto it and when i bring the two coils near each other the led lights up.
now, my problem is: i tried feeding the pulsed DC to a reversed 9-230v transformer, i slowly turned up the inout voltage, but when the output voltage reached about 25v the clip leads attached to the transformer started buzzing loudly and the voltage dropped to 0. i turned the knob on my powersupply back a tiny bit and i was getting 25v with no buzzing again.
can anyone tell me what is going on?

You're probably saturating the core. Try using a ferrite core rather than an iron one in that transformer.
