I wonder what would happen if you dumped a cap bank into one….
Where did you get them?

Well, the sparks tend to be ober 5mm if heazed with a solder iron, all i need is something like a bb gun to shot at them.

I got these from an internet store called "Pollin.de" they sell surplus parts for dumping prices but usually you get virtualy no info about the stuff you buy. It's somehow just like gambling...

The piezos are a cpacitiv load, so dumping a cap bank into them isn't realy possible. The all have a capacity of around 2nF and are said to withstand 1,6kV easily. I believe, that they will explode or rather crack if you hit them with (a lot) more then that. Though a CW multiplier will give enogh voltage for that me thinks.

They are still selling these piezos, here's a direct link to the piezos for those who are having problems understanding German: Link2

Since they're so cheap,
get a plastic pipe about 6 feet long, diameter for one piezo-rod,
fill it with 120 piezo elements with electrodes at each end
strike the ground with the bottom
hundreds of kV at the top end

'Magic Staff Of Lightning' amazed

no idea how you avoid 'zaping' yourself though cheesey

The crystal resonant frequency of 107 kHz is TC range
in this thread we have Wireless Transmission Of Power

How about a wireless piezo-motor?

No need of that, I rather ran nicely standard brush and brushless DC motor (if you reread the end of thread).
Untuned and weak I think tha tpower transfer gave its best.

One idea might be to use a Peltier to heat/cool the piezos then store the energy in a capacitor.

yep one could heat and cool piezos rapidly in order to produche high voltage pulses.
I doubt it would be something spectacular, rather some small principle showing.

I don't know how Omicron managed to get the price up to 3000 euros. The price seems to be per package of 10. The highest number of packages I was allowed to order was 799, and the total cost was around 120 euros (I did not order these, I just tested to see how many it was possible to order).
