 		That's an awesome blog, thanks for the link!
But is brandy really that good of an insulator to merit the use of high voltage? Being the alcoholic I am I quickly run a test and determined the nominal impedance of VSOP Cognac (shot glass with multimeter probes) to be 1 Megaohm. At 15kV this would dissipate 225W in the drink, hot schnapps anyone?
