Hi all. Was looking at these beasties the other day and it got me thinking.
Given that water is more or less a homogenous conductor, what would happen if one were to seal up (using Polymorph etc) the driver board of a small plasma globe, glue and epoxy it to the base of the globe and then drop it into water?

I believe this would have the same effect as putting your hand over the globe--you would end up with one streamer that goes to the glass, then spreads out along the surface.
When you load it down so that the entire tube is covered equally things might get a little different, but it would certinly be fun to try!
