This pic of mine is doing the internet rounds at present and is on about a dozen sites including Engadget, Gizmodo, Neatorama, HacknMod and Digg.
Also interesting to see foreign sites like this Hungarian one and discussion in French and Turkish forums.
Had up to about 3000 hits/hour. Almost enough to slow down the 4HV server that also hosts my site but there will be other big sites like Darkroastedblend taking it up as well.

I am glad you finally put something new on your website! It is nice to see that you are still up to your wild projects. God,why can't anyone live close to me. If i had a friend that was in to tesla coils and high voltage,I would be one lucky person.

Absolutely 100% effective when the voltage is present (and not connected to the internet).
For home requirements the "lite" version may be just as satisfactory as in the picture below. In fact, the power of this is even higher as the spark forms a power arc at higher powers. I use a 1 MOhm plastic resistor in series. Works great at 60kV but I haven't published this anywhere yet.

You are a hard taskmaster. Have you checked my "What's new" page. This is what I have done in the last month of quiet time to the tune of about 50 photos.

April5 2008 Completed rotating electrode display for multiple effects like sparks around my head and the HV antivrus - sparks around a laptop. Also collecting parts for an SISG.
March 20, 2008 I've added orange vortex rings, huge (26 inch) x-ray transformer arc, a smaller x-ray transformer, spinthariscope stuff, water resistor and upgraded MOT supply.
March 8, 2008 I've added stuff on the IR power in sunlight. More Franklin's bells stuff and some photos in the Blu-ray laser.
March 4, 2008 I've taken a great sequence of 14 pictures called Spider drama. Intrigue, betrayal and resurrection - It's all there. Made some Franklin's bells to get the feel for them at 80 kV and will look to making a more impressive model later.
March 3, 2008 I've remade my flyback HV supply due to an unfathomable fault. Also opens the way for higher powers with bigger IGBT's, more powerful stages to take advantage of a high voltage tower I'm making. Have made 6 corona rings. Expanded my wood burn fractals. It was put on Wikipedia. Made a neat little HV voltmeter from a red LED meter to allow viewing my cap bank voltage from a distance in preparation of higher powers.
