Sorry if i wasnt being clear, but what i was trying to say was that i think its more usefull to read that someone has actaully checked that it (whatever) works then if someone is just saying that it should work but hasnt checked. And dont get it wrong, i do theory/calculations and stuff like that too.

Could possiably have put it in more simple words, but as you can see of my profile i am not from a english speaking country.
Anyways my opinion on what is more and what is less usefull, is not the subject of this topic.

It would bo not only theory, but practice as well, measurements etc...

This has been tried before by ?Terry Fritz some years ago if I recall (?Journal of amateur science) but didn't get off the ground.
I guess that a lot of us, including me, publish their projects to our own websites. I tend to only post the outlines to 4HV. However, despite having 200 (loosely defined) projects on my site, almost none are a how to build from the ground up type project.
Wiki is anonymous and not really of great interest to me personally.

The success of a lot of these things depend on a lot of personal commitment from someone.
Good luck.

That's why articles would help. I'm currently writing an article titled "Design, construction and testing of a 5-stage reluctance accelerator". After finished i will post in a thread for searching someone for referring it.

If only we had some sort of a collection of articles, written by members of the community, presented in some sort of easily indexable format. Oh, wait, we do! cheesey

Please check out the HvWiki, if you haven't already. We've started gathering articles for a "how-to" category, and that article sounds like a great fit. If the section takes off, there's certainly a possibility of putting out an RSS feed, to let people get the latest articles delivered to their reader of choice. If anyone's feeling *really* motivated, there's no reason why we couldn't post regular articles to the front page of 4hv.org.
