I can vouch for the powers of ozone, ozone does a fantastic job of deodorizing. I "shock" the apartment with it once in a while just to freshen things up, and just about nothing can survive. It's at least worth a shot, as the ozone can get places that the cleaners may not, such as your air vents, or odd nooks and crannies. If the source of the stench is still deep down in the floorboards, no treatment short of removing it will ever get rid of it. However, if the smell has just settled in the car, ozone will definitely clean it right out.
I wouldn't suggest leaving anthing running all night, though -- just shock the car a few times by building up ozone for some minutes (an NST and mesh/glass plate setup won't take long to flood a car with ozone), letting it dissipate, and repeating. That's how a lot of car rental places keep their cars smelling fresh between customers, so I tend to doubt that there's a high level of risk for most car upholstry. Might be worth doing a spot check if you're worried. I've never noticed any damage to any of the carpets or upholstry in my apartment from the ozone treatments, but I'd imagine it could happen if you absolutely flooded the car with an insane amount of ozone for a long period of time.

Well, the ozone worked in eliminating a majority of the stench. I thank you guys for all the input. A small spritz of diluted bleach and water in the affected floor air vent killed the remaining smell.
