Hello to all, and no I've not built it yet, but I wan't to build it. Girst thing however is what should I use to power it, and how much copper do you think it will eat up, because I don't want to spend over $1000 on copper alone (Ill probably end up manufactoring the caps.)

Do you realise that Tesla coils produce much less voltage than would be needed to break down the same distance as the streamer length with DC voltage? A 14 Megavolt TC would, well, probably produce some 50 (or more) meter streamers (that's my best guess).

I imagine you easily surpass $1000 for a copper, for the fact that with the sheer size of a secondary youd need would probably require like 16 or 14 gauge wire at a few thousand feet and from what I payed for last time with 6K feet of 30AWG and 3K feet of 28AWG wire at 60$.

Ummm lets see, i think youd need something like 20 pole transformers in parallel?!?!?! I hope you dont intend to run this at your house, youll blow the substation fuse

hmm, maybe not 50ft streamers then, what I really want is to build a machine that puts out 14' streamers, my current TC can only put out a 14" streamer at best, I need a more powerful machine, but all I have is a few kilometers of 28 gauge wire
