They could work, but the classical 942C20P15K(-F) are 1.5 times the capacitance, and costs just marginally more than the CJE ones (the 942C20P15K-F costs 2.87USD from Rell). The price per joule is in other words much better for the 942Cs. The 942Cs also have higher dV/dT rating (2879V/µS vs. 1750V/µS), RMS current rating (13.5A vs. 7.5A) and peak current rating (432A vs. 175A).

Has anyone tried the "X2" type (sometimes marked "CFAC") MKP caps that are used in SMPSU's in line filter? They are VERY cheap ($0.3 for a 0.68u 400V cap) and they often work better than some of the more expensive high current types.
For example I've used two small 0.33uF 400V caps from PC SMPS's in series in a "zvs flyback driver" and they easily stood 500 Watts of power (few kVA reactive) getting just warm, not hot.

I bought the 0.68 uF 1600VDC rated CDE caps from RELL. They are rather inexpensive if you can get 2 or more people to buy a large order. These are superior capacitors that can take abuse.
