I am trying to evaluate a DC Tesla Coil design powered by two MOTs. I need a Spice model for the MOT.
I am looking at using two sets of contacts on a rotary spark gap instead in lieu of a large charging inductor. See attached diagram.
Any help would be appreciated.

The spark gap wouldn't allow much time for the primary capacitor to charge but with a low inductance charging choke it might work. I'd say go for it. If it doesn't work out you can always convert it to a more conventional type of DC resonant charging Tesla coil.
