After seeing the success you guys where having with plasma vortices, I decided to have a look at what a magnet did to my sstc output. Very little at all, a negligable amount. I was a bit perturbed at this, so I tried a few other things. Various elements on the breakout point (Zinc and titanium - No effect, Salt - we know what it does, and Aluminium Chloride - Gorgeous blue flame that burns off after a few seconds.)
I also built an Ion motor, this thing is outstanding! I had to run it in CW, but it works _really_ well, The pictures and video don't do it justice. I also ran my plasma globe interrupted, which makes some lovely effects.

Not at all, It's running CW. I have no idea why it's broken up, maybe the same reason you see chopper blades and fan blades when they are spinning. It changes with voltage/speed.
