Maybe you can get less expensive shipping from Germany rather than from the US? There are tons of screens on and I'd be willing to help you out with the language. In fact I am going to buy a screen for myself, and I think they come in pairs of two, so maybe we can make a deal?

Uzzors, you can buy intensifying screens which come as part of an X-ray cassette. You can put your sheet of film or paper into the cassette in a dark room, and once it it is closed shut, no light can get in. You can use the cassette in daylight, and prepare it a good time before you need to use it.
You can place things to be X-rayed right on top of the cassette.
When using or buying old radiography cassettes, see that it does not have broken hinges, or other damage. The intensifying screen should still be good, but the cassette may leak light and spoil the film.

It is fluoroscopic screen. Fluoroscopia is watching bones on the screen with naked eyes, not making radiograms. Looks like this screen is green and you need rather blue one for exposing photographic paper (green screen will work too, but blue would be better). I think that visiting some hospital would be a good idea. They are changing x-ray equipment to digital nowadays (or they did already in Norway) and they certainly have some old and useless cassettes or screens, it's only matter of proper talking to an x-ray operator I got 7 cassettes this way for free, I wrote about it on my website but there was a bug in the script so that part of the text was invisible, I noticed it now Now its fixed, it is the 6th paragraph in 3rd part of the text -

Thanks for finding those, Joe! Shipping to Norway seems to be 25 EUR. Could you check if there are any catches with this auction? I can't tell what type of auction it is , is it best offer, buy now or regular? Splitting costs on a two-pack doesn't sound like such a bad idea either, but won't the shipping be more expensive? Or do you mean we buy a pack together and have the seller send one to each of us?
