hi everyone..i got a task to design a high voltage dc to dc converter using CMOS...anyone got suggestion what type of CMOS i could use and what the main things need to be considered in designing this type of circuit..

why do you need to use CMOS? If you really have to, I would use the CMOS version of the 555 to drive a MOSFET and a high frequency ferrite transformer. 100mW is really not too much power...

can you give me more example about this...
The simplest thing I can think of now is a 555 oscillator (you can find schematics on the net) driving a MOSFET with at least 300V rating, this MOSFET switches an inductor which creates high voltage spikes on turn off, these spikes are then rectified and filtered (search "boost converter").
How well does it need to be regulated? For simple output adjustment just change the frequency (higher freq. -> lower output), if you want it to be stabilised then you can make a resistor divider and one transistor which pulls the RESET pin of the 555 LOW when the output voltage has reached 200V.
