Very nice. The bipolar coil in the first picture looks pretty sweet. Any additional details on that? Solid state, spark gap?

It was an audio modulated DRSSTC. They had the keyboard and the guitar hooked up to it (one at a time of course). It was super SWEET, not to mention LOUD!!!
What made it more amazing was that it was driven by a SINGLE TURN primary with around 400 volts through it. (Sorry for stealing the spotlight, Chris tongue )

The Teslathon was great ! This was the first time I've seen DRSS Tesla coils operating and there where some really cool vacuum tube Tesla coils as well. Of course there where plenty of the spark gap type coils including Hennery's monster pole pig Tesla coil.

I was quite impressed with the visual and audio effects that are possible with the DRSS Tesla coils.

Roger

PS. Can't wait to see the picture of the exploding aluminum foil!
