im making tesladownunder's 6" coil and i am to the point of making the mmc but at $6 ea the caps that he used are far to expensive for me. i found a place to optain some caps that are rated 0.1uf 15kvdc for $10 ea. they are made by plastic capacitors and seeing his cap bank was around 92nf 24kv i was wondering if those capacitors in a series, parallel config giving me 0.1uf(100nf) 30kvdc and because they are being used in ac i am assuming they can withstand around ~12-13kvac and with his quad mot bank putting out around ~8kvac i am guessing they should do the trick.
